Silver and its additives

Purest form of gold and silver are not good enough to be made into fine ornaments, utensils and decorative products for usage. It is because of the nature of the metals originally when they are obtained hundred percent pure. These metals in the purest form do not minutes traces of the copper, zinc, silicon, boron and other impurities that actually adds on the porosity, fire strength and many other physical and chemical properties. The predetermined proportions of the copper, zinc and nickel are blended with the silver. One such prime commodity is renowned popularly in the market as the sterling silver. All those valuable jewels that are made out in this fashion are called as the sterling silver jewelry.

But I'm not really sure if organizer in Brazil will allow this as it will take too much stage space unless if the NC portion is done outside the hall or outdoor arena. I guess by now, the other contestants can just relax and not payig attention too much on thie own NC as their's will definitely being overshadowed by Miss Egypt NC. mmm, this costume is suitable for Rio or SP street parade I guess.

Papertake Weekly - Getting Cute

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a wonderful start to your week! We went to see Harry Potter yesterday and it was awesome! I went with my oldest daughter and son (we're all Harry Potter freaks - LOL!)  It's so sad though, knowing that this is the last one.  So anyway, it's time for a new challenge from Dawny at Papertake Weekly, and this week it's "Getting Cute". This challenge is being sponosred by Wendy's Digital Delights.  For my card this week, I totally fell in love with Dawny's card HERE, and CASEd it. Thanks (as always) for the wonderful inspiration, Dawny!

I colored this little cutie hAnglar & stAnglar about a month ago, and have been wanting to use her on a card. Usually I work the other way around, pick the papers and then color the image. It's so much easier that way!  This layout was a Papertake Challenge a couple weeks ago that I missed, and I so love Dawny's sketches! So I simply utitlized it for this weeks challenge. She's colored with Copic markers and then cut out and popped up off the panel. The DP's are from Nitwit Collections matted with Bazzill cardstock. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the ribbon is May Arts from Stamp and Create, as is the charm. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley and cut out with Nestabilities. I machine stitched the panels, and added a couple buttons from my stash. I've had some of you ask questions about my stitching and how I do it. I use a cheap machine I bought from Sears about three or four years ago (It's a Kenmore brand). It only does a couple stitches, but all I wanted was straight and zig zag so the lack of fancy stitches was not important to me. It only cost me about 70 bucks, and it's probably the best 70 bucks I've ever spent. It is constantly used, and the stitches always look fabulous.

Out of a field of over 20 contestants from different countries, Cassandra walked away with the opportunity to represent Deaf women worldwide.

Now for my project. There are three choices for this blog hop: Summer Picnic Fun, Beach Blanket Party, or Fishing the Day Away!  I went for the Summer Picnic Fun, and wanted to highlight a fun summer picnic day at the park.

I went with a stair step card and used LOTS of Magnolia images... #259 Kneeling Tilda, #3019 Tilda playing hopscotch, #3029 Tilda in star dress, #402 Rufus the dog, #421 sun, #428 Tree with carved heart,  and I can't find the blanket or the park bench in stock right now, but they are Magnolia images. If you're interested,  please just ask Diana about them. All the images are colored with Copic markers and fussy cut to attach to the card. The sun is attached with a strip of acetate so it would appear to be free standing above all the images.
